Giving Back

MBW Statistical Consulting lives its credo. I take actions to create a happier, healthier, better educated society through volunteer activities.

I am a licensed Zumba and Zumba Kids instructor. I knows the positive physicals and emotional benefits of Zumba, and I suspect that learning rhythm and movement will improve children’s applied math skills.

I am also a District of Columbia Public School parent volunteer. I help children work on literacy skills and introduced them to math in action demonstrating computer programming for statistical analysis. I developed a 45-minute course called Should We Ban Red Skittles? that teach elementary school-aged children the fundamentals of policy-oriented statistical analysis. The children learn sampling by practicing sorting and counting. They also practice interpreting histograms and line-plots.
